Cracks in concrete structures are problems that we often see and experience in our building structures during and after construction. These cracks are caused by the shrinkage of concrete. Concrete shrinks by about 2% during the drying process i.e. shrinks. The rate of shrinkage depends on the characteristics of the concrete and the amount of water and cement used.
